The Second Patriarch Vajrasattva Bodhisattva Vajrasattva-mahasattva: a form of Samantabhadra (Pu Xian), reckoned as the second of the eight patriarchs of the Shingon Sect, also known as Vajrapani and other similar titles. The term is also applied to all Vajra-beings, or Vajra-bodhisattvas; especially those in the moon-circle in the east of the Diamond Mandala. Shakyamuni also takes the Vajrasattva form.
1. All beings are Vajrasattva, because of their Buddha-nature.
2. So are all beginners in the faith and practice.
3. So are the retinues of Aksobhya.
4. So is great Pu Xian.
